HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL! I am in the wonderful city of New York City for this festive holiday and kinda missing my family in Oklahoma! I just finished talking to them, and everyone seems so happy! Christmas break is right around the corner, and I cannot wait! I will be dissappointed when this Tepper semester abroad program is over, and I have to go back to the snow in old Syracuse! Yes you heard right...I decided to go back for the Spring Semester as a part time student so that I could do a show to get Equity points as well as have closure to my college life. My schedule is going to be so light so that I can come to New York to audition when I like. It was too difficult to graduate in December because I needed petitions to be signed, and I already it was not going there because my faculty advisor does not agree with that. And I wasn't as prepared to take that step into life yet. i mean no one is really, or can be prepared especially in this profession.I know that E. Kirby Jr. might be a little dissappointed because I am going back, and he wanted me to take that step into life. I will slowly edge my way in.I will kinda have the best of two worlds, performing working and auditioning.  I want to have a better plan to jump in may so that is my plan. I have been doing auditions in the city just to get a feel for them, and it is so true that the auditioners are on your side. My first audition was replacements in the national non-equity tour of Wedding Singer. They needed a replacement for the Tina Turner Impersonator, and I got down to the final two girls. The only problem was that the girl on tour had tour and needed someone ASAP for 6 weeks, I killed that audition, but had to tell them that I am in school til December, at least that is what I thought at the time! My next audition was Hairspray, which was cool again. I got down to the top 8 black folk! 4 girls and 4 boys. So I am in the file. It was an eyeopener because they didnt call me back to the final callback because I was not clear on what they wanted to hear on a second song selection. So it was good to know that they thought I was talented, but next time have a legato type song in a high register belt in my book. Then I did my all tie favorite show..... DREAMGIRLS!!! It was such a good audition, it is just unfortunate that the director dropped the project, so I am not sure what they are doing with the show. Then I did couple striaght play audition which was awkward because why was I warming up my voice to no music? It was so in and out which was great! And lastly, just for the fun of it I auditioned for THE COLOR PURPLE. The auditioner seemed really enthusiastic. He made me sing three songs which is good because I was prepared this time with the next selection. I still am going to do a few more before the semester ends so wish me luck. I dont know how Theatre is going to go since all of Broadway is down due to the strike, but hopefully people will negoiate because I want to see to XANDU and Rent since Syracuse has sonbe alums in it. So since I am in NYC, I have cleaned my room and began packing and then thinking about my life. Also there are a few people like 5 from the Teppa that didnt go home so we have bonded as well. I took some new headshots recently and hopefully have chosen the right ones to clean. I leave you with a few choices. Be thankful and give thanks. Peace love Blessings.

WELL I AM BACK IN THE 315, ACTUALLY IN NYC THIS FALL AND LOVIN' IT! THIS MONTH HAS BEEN A ROLLERC.OASTER. I HAVE GROWN UP A BIT FROM MY PARENTS, AND IT IS A LITTLE SCARY BUT I KNOW THAT THEY WILL ALWAYS HAVE MY BACK! I LOVE ALL OF CLASSES! I HAVE AN AUDITION CLASS WITH DAISY PRINCE, WHO IS AMAZING! WHO EVER KNEW THAT LAUGHING SO HARD MEANT SO MUCH LEARNING! NYC IS EXPENSIVE! I HAVE GONE OUT A FEW TIMES BUT MAN DO I MISS SYRACUSE PRICES! I AM ACTUALLY GOING HOME THIS COMING WEEKEND TO DO A SHOW CALLED AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'.  YEAH I KNOW THAT I SAID I WASN'T DOING THE SHOW BUT I COULDNT SAY NO ESPECIALLY WITH KIRBY! ITS KINDA LIKE MY FAREWELL PERFORMANCE TO TULSA BECAUSE HOPEFULLY I WILL FIND WORK HERE AND SUPPORT MYSELF. I AM SCARED ABOUT THIS UNKNOWN WORLD AFTER GRADUATION. MY FATHER SAID ITS CALLED RESPONSIBLITY. I KNOW I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBLITY BUT IT SEEMS SUCH A HEAVY BURDEN TO TAKE UP. HOPEFULLY AND PRAYFULLY I WILL GRADUATE AND CONTINUE TO DO WHAT I LOVE TO DO AND MAKE A LIVING. THIS MARKETING THING IS HARD AND TEDIOUS. THE CONTACTS I HAVE MADE HERE SEEM BENEFICIAL AND I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THEY CAN HELP ME IN THE FUTURE. THIS PARAGRAPH IS THE "MEAT AND TATERS" OF MY LIFE NOW AS DAISY PRINCE STATES SO ELOQUENTLY. I KNOW THAT PATIENCE IS A KEY INGREDIENT TO SURVIVNG IN THIS BUSINESS, AND I NEED TO EXTEND MINE. IF ANY OF YOU IN OKLAHOMA DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO OCTOBER 5 @8PM, OCT 6 @8PM, OCT 7 @ 2PM. COME ON DOWN TO THE TULSAPAC LIDDY DOENGES AND SEE AINT MISBEHAVIN'. THE CAST IS GREAT AND I THINK A NIGHT WITHOUT THEATRE IS DEAD SO SPICE UP YOUR LIFE AND COME ON OUT!

DONT WORRY I AM NOT A NEW YORKER YET. I STILL HAVE THE COUNTRY OKIE IN ME AND IT ALWAYS PRESENTS ITSELF IN ACTING SCENES AND EVERYONE LOVES IT.

MY QUOTES OF THE WEEK:

IT CAN BE DONE.

THIS TOO SHALL PAST

GOD NEVER PUTS TOO MUCH ON ME THAT I CANNOT BEAR.

So I am kind of getting homesick for the Cuse. Everyone is heading back this weekend, and I still have two more looooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg weeks! I wish I could be there for my Senior Opening Marathon, but what can you do? I am getting focused for this upcoming semester because who knows what could happen and I need to be on my best game. I am feeling all the weird feelings all at once and what better way to express them than xanga!

anxious. nervous. excited. scared poopless. cared for. missed. loved. lonely. unprepared. confident. unaware. impatient. grateful. helpful. bored. questionable. needed.

I do not regret the program and education I am receiving at Syracuse, but I do sometimes regret going the far distance because if I were here I could have done Ain't MisBehavin' with my father figure (maybe manager one day) Kirby in the fall! They have a phenomonal cast though so I am sure it will be great because that is what Kirby puts out, a good product.

FYI- I am not sure what I will be doing after graduation but I do know that as of right now, I want to go to India with Kirby. Now I know this is a year early, but I am starting to plan early this time!

I know there are a couple BA kids that I have not caught up with...I am trying my best to get to everyone before I go back home to the Cuse. Oh I miss it....Cubano I will be there.

Love to all

my motto

You are too blessed to be stressed!!!

Thank you for the Music

For the songs I'm singing

thanks for all the joy they're bringing

who can live without it

I ask in all honesty

what would life be

without a song

without a dance

what are we?

So I say thank you for the music

for giving it to me.

GOD IS SO GOOD ALL THE TIME

ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD.

BLESSINGS ONLY COME FROM ABOVE.

AND I AM GLAD THAT I JUST KEEP RECIEVING THEM!!!

There's a hand holding my hand

Its not a hand you can see

No matter what rocks and brambles lead the way

I know that I can see until the end.

Grateful, Grateful

Truly Grateful I am

Grateful, Grateful

Truly blessed and duly grateful.

JOHN BUCCHINO

Yeah Yeah God is Great

Yeah Yeah God is Good

Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah

And If God Were One of Us

Just a slob like one of us

Just a stranger on a bus

Trying to make his way home.

Focused.
